One of the biggest challenges that I have faced as a homeschooling mom is coming up with extra worksheets for practice. Let’s face it, it just takes time to find all of the available resources that we need and even more time if we need to create the worksheets ourselves. I don’t like spending too much time creating my own worksheets if there are some already available that will meet my needs.
Last year my son was struggling with math and timed tests. He needed lots and lots of reinforcement to create fluency in his math facts. Apparently, the public school that he had attended from kindergarten through fourth grade, didn’t do their job. He would add and subtract numbers by using his fingers and he never learned to multiply or divide. We had a lot of work to do to catch him up in math. He really wanted to learn the things he was supposed to be learning at his age, but the school didn’t see the need to help him or any of the other kids his age progress. This appalled me.
I began searching for reinforcement worksheets to help him with his math. I thought that by mastering each level, he would gain some speed and math wouldn’t take so long. I was thrilled when I came across a website that allowed me to create the worksheets that we needed to accomplish our task. The site even gave me an answer key! And the best part? The service is FREE!
The site I am referring to is the Superkids Math Worksheet Creator. The site allows you to create worksheets on demand, utilizing the factors that you need to work on. There are a variety of math skills that can be worked on, including: Addition, Subtraction, Mixed Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Order of Operations, Fractions, Percentages, Greater than/Less than, Odd or Even, Rounding, Averages, Exponents, Factorials, Is it Prime?, and Telling Time.
